Eric Borseth
Eric Borseth graduated from Coe College in 1981 and graduated from Drake University Law School in 1983. Mr. Borseth was admitted into the Iowa Bar on January 13, 1984. He has been admitted in the federal district courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa since 1984.
Mr. Borseth has been in the private practice of law since 1984. He is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association and is a member of the Family Law and General Practice Committees. Eric has served on the child support guidelines committee established by the Iowa Supreme Court.
Mr. Borseth was the primary referral attorney for Fathers for Equal Rights while Fathers For Equal Rights was in operation. He has served as a lecturer for several continuing legal education seminars sponsored by the Iowa Bar Association and the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association on the issues of divorce, custody, joint physical care, visitation and child support. His family law practice includes handling cases before the Iowa Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
Mr. Borseth runs a general practice firm including, but not limited to: family law, juvenile law, criminal law, real estate, wills and trusts, personal injury, business law and contracts, worker’s compensation and appeals.
Mr. Borseth is also active in his community having served as president of the East Polk Rotary Club. He is a member of the Altoona Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered in many community organizations including, Little League, Wrestling Rams Kids Wrestling Club, Boy Scouts of America, and on his church leadership team. Mr. Borseth prides himself in providing quality personal services to his clients at reasonable cost.
Lynn Poschner
Lynn Poschner graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003, with highest honors, and Drake University Law School in 2007, with high honors. Ms. Poschner was admitted into the Iowa Bar on September 20, 2007 and has been in private practice in Iowa since that time.
Ms. Poschner practices primarily in the areas of family law, juvenile law, and criminal law. Ms. Poschner participated as a student attorney with the Drake Legal Clinic, Children’s Rights Center. While at the clinic Ms. Poschner represented children and youth in abuse, neglect and delinquency proceedings. Upon completion of the Drake Legal Clinic, Children’s Rights Center Ms. Poschner was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Advocacy Award.
Ms. Poschner is active in the Juvenile court community in Polk County. Ms. Poschner participates in the Polk County Model Court and the Polk County cite for the Zero-to-Three Project. Ms. Poschner served as an instructor in the Juvenile Court Services training for Juvenile Court Officers in the spring of 2008. Ms. Poschner served as a panelist at the Zero-to-Three Court Team All Cites Conference in March of 2009.
Judy Johnson
Judy graduated with honors from Drake University Law School in 2006. While in law school, Judy was an active student leader and was elected to the Student Bar Association where she served as both a first year and a second year class representative. Judy’s interest in trial advocacy led her to participate in the law school’s mock trial team her second and third year of law school.
Judy has a general practice including but not limited to representing clients with a wide variety of family law related issues. Judy’s family law practice area includes helping clients with issues such as: guardianships, pre-marital agreements; divorce litigation, actions to establish paternity, child support, custody, and visitation, modification actions, and contempt proceedings. Judy has also worked on family law cases at the appellate level. Her appellate work includes composing briefs and presenting oral argument to the Iowa Court of Appeals.
Judy continues take to leadership roles and explore her interest in trial advocacy. For example, she co-coached a local middle school mock trial team in the Des Moines area for several years. Judy is also a member of the Iowa Bar Association and participates in the family law section meetings.
