Borseth Law Office conducts an appellate practice.  Many of the links included in the areas of practice summaries are cases in which Borseth Law Office has represented the appellant or the appellee.  As a general rule you have 30 days from the date of the court ruling in which to file a notice of appeal.  You cannot extend that time period without order of the court so if you do not file timely you would lose your right to appeal.  The appellate practice is a review by the Supreme Court of the evidence received by the trial court and the ruling entered by the trial court.  The appellant is required to create the record for the court to review and to present written arguments pointing out the mistakes made by the trial court and to argue why and how that ruling should be changed.  Appeals are a time consuming and time sensitive procedure that require effective counsel in order to be successful.
